Biography
Kimberly McCord is Professor of Music Education at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Prior to teaching university level, McCord taught general, instrumental music and special education in the Denver (Colorado) Public Schools. She has chaired the ISME Commission on Music in Special Education, Music Therapy and Music Medicine and was the founder and first chair of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME, formerly known as MENC) Special Research Group on Children With Exceptionalities.
