Biography

Mariko Hara, Ph.D., is a music sociologist specialising in the field of music and health and a member of the Sociology of the Arts research group at the University of Exeter. Her main research interest is the use of music as a means for sustainable care in ageing societies (Japan, United Kingdom and Norway)
and how music use can be integrated into everyday life as health resource to adapt to changes in people’s socio-health lives.
