Biography

Hiroko Miyake, PhD, works as a music therapist and a community musician in Tokyo, Japan. She is a part-time lecturer at Meijigakuin University and a project staff member of Tokyo Diversion Research. Her main research interest focuses on how music can facilitate the co-presence of people who experience differences in terms of, for example, their body, values, experience and social standing.
