Our response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is having dramatic implications for everyone. In these unprecedented and worrying times, music therapy organisations and individual music therapists are working hard to support people and their communities as best as possible.

The team of Approaches is actively encouraging submissions by practitioners, researchers and students who wish to reflect on the implications of the current situation for music therapy, locally, nationally or internationally. Examples of topics include: the use of online technology for music therapy practice, supervision or teaching; ethical considerations pertaining to new emerging modes of practice; funding considerations; overviews and critiques of available resources for music therapists as well as of resources offered by music therapists. Our hope is that such papers will serve as useful resources for colleagues in different parts of the world. Paper submissions can take the form of articles, reports or interviews and all submissions will follow standard review procedures as Approaches guidelines.

If you wish to discuss your ideas, please get in touch via email: approaches.editor @ gmail.com

With best wishes,

The team of Approaches
